2010 Field Day: This year I went up to the Ice House/Union Valley site up in El Dorado National Forest. This Field Day location is hosted by the Sacramento Amateur Radio Club (SARC). This location is great; it's just off of a ridgeline road and has an elevation of 5100 feet MSL. There are plenty of trees for hoisting antenna wires. This year, I just wanted to check out the location. I didn't bring any equipment. There was a J-pole building session at one of the tents and I bought some parts for for a J-pole I want to build.
